EOS, based in Novi, Mich., describes itself as a technology supplier in the field of industrial 3-D printing of metals and polymers, and a pioneer in the field of direct metal laser sintering. The company says it intends with America Makes on technology transition, workforce readiness, and help bring additive manufacturing’s technology advancement to the factory floor.
“Many advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives need a broker to assist in building synergies and we are thrilled EOS is now a part of this great institute,” said Glynn Fletcher, president of EOS North America, in a prepared statement.
America Makes is a public-private partnership with member organizations from industry, academia, government and workforce development organizations. It offers three levels of membership: platinum, gold and silver.
