Cohen, Wray Join Home Savings’ Wealth Management

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Karen Cohen, a veteran CPA, and Christine Wray, a former private banker at Huntington Bank, have joined the wealth management department of Home Savings Bank, Gary Small announced Monday.

Small is the president and CEO of Home Savings Bank.

Both women join as vice presidents. Cohen was named a trust officer as well while Wray was named a private banker.

The acquisition of Premier Bank & Trust last January provided Home Savings with a wealth management team, Small said, that prompted the bank to enlarge that team with “two experienced local wealth management professionals.”

Cohen, with Packer Thomas 26 years, the last 10 as a principal, is knowledgeable about the tax code, Small said. Wray, with Huntington since 2006, has 23 years’ experience as a banker.

Cohen is chairman of the board of the Mercy Health Foundation, treasurer of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and an adjunct professor at Youngstown State University where she teaches classes on estate planning and taxation.

Wray serves on the Boy Scouts Greater Western Reserve Council committee and on the executive board of Youngstown Hearing & Speech Easter Seals, of which she is treasurer.
