YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Feeling thirsty? All this week The Business Journal is featuring how-to videos on our Facebook page, brought to you from the bartenders and owners of Ryes Craft Beer & Whiskey in Youngstown, the Speakeasy Lounge in Warren and Barrel 33 in Howland.

Catch a firsthand look at the creation of some of the classics from the cocktail era. Don’t forget to catch the Daily Buzz video about the rebirth of Prohibition-era drinks in the Mahoning Valley on Wednesday.

On Monday we learned how to make a mojito with bartender Paul Lettau at the Speakeasy. Tuesday we learned how to make a sazerac with Jordi Dando and Jeff Kurz from Ryes. Barrel 33 owner Mark Rhodes showed us how to smoke a bourbon on Wednesday. Lettau crafted a perfect Manhattan for us Thursday. And today we’ll go back at Ryes to learn how to concoct a cocktail called the Southside. Look for that post in a Facebook post that goes up at 5 p.m. – cocktail hour!

Be sure to read about the rise of the cocktail movement in the Mahoning Valley in the August edition of the Business Journal.
