Fellows Riverside to Hold Garden Adventure Day

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Mill Creek MetroParks Fellows Riverside Gardens will present Garden Adventure Day tomorrow. This annual celebration is a free, family-friendly event that offers adventures throughout the gardens as treasure and fairies create a memorable day of fun.

Hands-on activities during the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. event include Captain Hook’s obstacle course and a drum circle with organizations including the Green Team, Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society and more, said Keith Kaiser, horticulture director.

Garden Adventure Day is sponsored by WFMJ/WBCB and Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens. This event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine.

Mill Creek Park was established in 1891 by Volney Rogers as the first park district in Ohio. In 1989, the diverse lands now known as Mill Creek MetroParks officially became a metropolitan park district.
