First National Bank Names Kreider to Head NW Region

PITTSBURGH — First National Bank of Pennsylvania has named Frank Kreider regional president for its northwestern region that consists of six counties in northwestern Pennsylvania and two in northeastern Ohio.

John Williams, president of the bank, made the announcement Thursday.

The counties are Mahoning and Trumbull in Ohio and Mercer, Lawrence, Butler, Venango, Erie and Crawford in Pennsylvania.

In his role, Kreider, a resident of Hermitage, is “responsible for integrating First National Bank’s successful cross-function business model and developing business opportunities in the region,” Williams said. In addition, he retains his title of executive vice president of community commercial banking, “responsible for driving business development and revenue growth and for overseeing relationships with commercial clients.”

F.N.B. Equipment Finance, another subsidiary of the holding company, F.N.B. Corp., will continue to report to Kreider, Williams said.

After earning a baccalaureate in finance at Pennsylvania State University, Kreider has worked 30 years in the banking industry, the last 17 at First National Bank.

Active in the Hermitage community, he is treasurer of the Strimbu Memorial Fund and sits on a panel for a juvenile diversion program. He has served as a director of the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce and as president of the Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission.
