Grove City College Hosts Alumni Entrepreneurs Thursday

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s Center for Entrepreneurship + Innovation will host alumni entrepreneurs Thursday as part of Richard G. Staley ’62 Visionary Entrepreneur Speaker Series events.

Evan Addams and Sean Ammirati will present “The Nowait Story: Creating the World How It Ought to Be” at 7 p.m. in Sticht Lecture Hall in the Hall of Arts and Letters on campus.

Addams, a 2010 graduate, works for Nowait National Sales & Partnerships Lead at Yelp. Ammirati, a 2002 graduate, is a partner for Birchmere Labs and Birchmere Ventures. Both will relate their experience with Nowait, a startup that grew rapidly until it was acquired by Yelp in 2017 for $40 million.

On Nov. 30, Kimberly Garrett, a 2012 graduate, and co-founder and president of Better Made Brands, will offer the perspective of a young entrepreneur who sold her first business, Rooted Beauty, to Seventh Generation – now Unilever – and is on to her next venture. Garrett will speak at 7 p.m. in Sticht Lecture Hall.

The Richard G. Staley ’62 Visionary Entrepreneur Speaker Series brings entrepreneurs to campus to share insight and wisdom. Each semester, the center hosts successful business people to inspire audiences, provoke thought and stimulate conversation.

The lectures are co-sponsored by the business program at Grove City College. For more about entrepreneurship at Grove City College, visit GCC.edu/entr.
