JA Needs Volunteers for May 17 Event

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley needs volunteers for JA in a Day, which takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17. The volunteers are needed for fifth-grade classes in eight elementary schools in the Youngstown City School District.

Junior Achievement prepares students to succeed in life by providing an educational foundation in both business and economics. A crucial part of the success relies on the help from volunteer mentors to make this happen.

Structured programs that include all the necessary materials will be provided to the volunteers in a kit. Lesson plans are prepared in a volunteer guide. A brief one-time training session to teach the programs is available at the Girard location or at the volunteer’s business. Volunteers can arrange a mutually convenient schedule for teaching.
