Mahoning Elections Board to Implement New Software

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mahoning County Board of Elections will unveil new software that it will use to speed up election night reporting of results.

The TotalVote Election Night Reporting system will provide real-time elections results for any election on the county board’s website, according to a news release from BPro Inc., the software vendor.

BPro, founded in 1985, is based in Pierre, S.D.

The web-based system has been used in more than 800 jurisdictions of various sizes across the country since 2008, according to the release. The system can be accessed by common current web and mobile browsers and provides information for voters, media, candidates and political parties.

“This is a proud moment for us as we continue to expand our election services to other states. Mahoning County is a leader in Ohio elections and we look forward to helping them create a better-informed electorate with our TotalVote Election Night Reporting System,” said Brandon Campea, BPro president. “Ohio is a battleground state and we know our TotalVote reporting system will be watched from around the country on election nights.”

A demonstration of the software will take place at the media event, which is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the board offices.
