Meridian’s Next ‘Now You Know’ Talks Mindfulness

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The December edition of the “Now You Know” series, hosted by Meridian HealthCare and the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, will discuss dealing with stress through mindfulness.

The 45-minute program will be held 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Boardman branch of the library, 7680 Glenwood Ave. Julie Lenyk, Meridian’s director of adult residential services, will be the featured speaker.

“The December installment will be a timely look at holiday stress and what can be done to avoid it,” Meridian said in a release. “Julie will help identify the causes of stress and discuss what you can do to reduce it, how mindfulness plays into the equation and simple exercises to do at home or work.”

A question-and-answer session will be held after Lenyk’s presentation.

The Now You Know series is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Reservations can be made by calling 330 744 8636 and mentioning the program.
