National Speaker from Valley Gives Advice to Realtors

CANFIELD, Ohio – Motivational speaker Brian Blasko, a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School who speaks nationwide, presented techniques on becoming more successful to local realtors Wednesday at the Courtyard Marriott, 4173 Westford Place.

“My goal is to provide techniques and methods that will provide realtors the knowledge to become more successful in relationship building, goal setting and career building. Ultimately that creates trust, which creates great community strength,” said Blasko.

Realtors from agencies across Mahoning and Trumbull Counties were in attendance. Participants received two hours of continuing education, a requirement of the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate Licensing.

The event coincided with the release of the May sales report by the National Association of Realtors that shows sales edged up 1.1% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.62 million. Homes are staying on the market for a median of just 27 days, the briefest period since the realtors began tracking the measure in 2011, the report found.

“The strong sales growth speaks volumes of the desire for home ownership right now. Conditions are ideal for sellers and are extremely competitive for buyers,” said Yvonne Smith, broker for Real Living Brokers Realty Group.
