Nominations Open for Shenango Chamber’s Phoenix Awards

SHARON, Pa. – The nomination deadline for the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce’s eight annual Phoenix Awards is Feb. 11. Nominees must have a physical location in the Shenango Valley, do business in the valley or be a member of the chamber.

Nomination packages must include a cover page with the nominee’s information and award for which he’s nominated, a business profile and supporting information such as news clips or letters of recommendation. The full list of nomination requirements can be found here.

Since 2009, the Shenango Valley Chamber has presented nine awards to businesses that have visibly benefited the region.

The awards consist of New Business Startup for enterprises  between 18 and 36 months old, Entrepreneur for businesses between two and four years old, the Innovation Award, Growth Small Manufacturing, Growth Large Manufacturing, Growth Small Service, Growth Large Service, Nonprofit/ Service Organization and Beautification.

Individuals, companies and organizations may be nominated for more than one award, but can win only  one, exception the beautification award. A lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m May 19 to honor the award winners.

Among those receiving awards at last year’s lunch at the Corinthian in the downtown  were Reinhardt’s Insurance for beautification, Juniper Village at the Shenango Inn for large service growth and Autosoft Inc. for innovation.
