Packer Thomas Acquires Anness Gerlach & Williams

CANFIELD, Ohio —  Packer Thomas, a regional public accounting and business consulting firm, announced Tuesday that it has acquired Anness, Gerlach & Williams CPA’S. Terms were not disclosed.

Anness, Gerlach & Williams, founded in 1984, employs 17 and is based in Boardman.

Packer Thomas, founded in 1923, has over 75 employees and serves domestic and international clients throughout the U.S. The firm, based in Canfield, also maintains an office in New Castle, Pa.

The combined firm will operate in Packer Thomas’ newly expanded office here.

In a prepared statement, Thomas J. Anness, principal at AGW, described Packer Thomas “as a well-respected firm and an ideal fit for our team and our clients.”

Added Brian Commons, principal at Packer Thomas, in announcing the acquisition: “AGW is an excellent firm with a seasoned team of professionals.
