Kasich Expected to Jump in Next Month – Politico

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Politico is out with a front-page story this morning that reports Ohio Gov. John Kasich is likely to announce his candidacy for president next month even though his “temper has made it harder to endear himself to the GOP’s wealthy benefactors.”

According to the story, Kasich participated in a panel discussion last year in California sponsored by the billionaire Republican donors Charles and David Koch, and alienated many there with his caustic response regarding his decision to expand Medicaid coverage in Ohio.

Politico notes Kasich has not be invited to another Koch-sponsored event.

The story is headlined, “Operation Replace Jeb Bush. John Kasich is on a last-ditch mission to prove he can be the Republican establishment’s dream candidate in 2016.”
