Postal Customer Council Sets Seminar for Business

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Steel Valley Postal Customer Council will host a free seminar to help businesses understand the flow of their mail from the time it is dropped off at the post office to when it’s delivered to recipients.

The seminar will take place April 10 from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the Youngstown Post Office, 99 S. Walnut St.

“We feel it’s important for the businesses that mail with us to understand the flow of the mail from the time they drop it off at the post office to the time it lands in their clients mailboxes,” says Tom Kerns, Youngstown postmaster. This will help them to better plan the timing of the mail so it arrives just when the customer needs to see it.”

Featured speakers at the event will be Troy R. Seanor, senior plant manager for the U.S. Postal Service, Northern Ohio District, and Harry Myers, district director of marketing for the Northern Ohio District.

Seanor is responsible for all mail processing operations at the Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown and Toledo centers. Myers’ responsibilities include is responsible for oversight of the business mail entry units, mailing requirements and the business service network.
