Queen of Hearts Stays Face Down, Jackpot Tops $1.2M

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The bashful queen of hearts once again tonight failed to show her face as a few thousand ticket holders gathered at Barry Dyngles Pub and thousands more watched the drawing as it was streamed on the Internet by local TV stations.

With 460,000 in $1 tickets sold since the last drawing, the jackpot was $1,238,184. Eight cards remained on the board.

The ticket drawn belonged to Paul Gregorc, who selected number 53.

Restaurant manager Doug Duganne called Gregorc and got him on the phone. But instead of the queen of hearts, the 10 of clubs was revealed.

And so, the jackpot will start growing again when Dyngles begins selling tickets at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
