Rubio to Campaign at BOC Water Hydraulics Oct. 16

SALEM, Ohio – U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, who is running for the Republican nomination for president, will visit BOC Water Hydraulics next Friday. At BOC, Rubio will detail his “vision for U.S. Energy Policy in the New American Century.”

The appearance by the Florida senator is scheduled for 2 p.m. He will be joined by Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel, who endorsed Rubio for president in May – before Gov. John Kasich’s announcement the would seek the GOP nomination.

Rubio was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010. He campaigned for Mandel during the Ohio treasurer’s unsuccessful bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, in 2012.

Rubio is running fourth in the GOP field according to Real Clear Politics’ average of polls, with 9.9%. He trails front runner Donald Trump, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. Kasich is ranked seventh in the field on average, with 3.2%.
