Salem Chamber Launches ‘I Love Salem’ Campaign

SALEM, Ohio – The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce wants residents and merchants to display “I Love Salem” signs in their windows. The campaign is designed “to focus on the good things found throughout Salem,” the chamber says in its July newsletter.

“If we think positively about Salem and spread the “I Love Salem” theme, positive things will definitely begin to happen,” the chamber says. “We realize the importance of focusing upon the good things, while working together to find solutions to solve some of our com-munity’s negative situations. A “can do” attitude will accomplish great things! “

The “50 Reasons to Love Salem” campaign originated with the chamber’s beautification committee, which created the “101 Reasons to Love Salem” presentation to city officials. From there the marketing committee, headed by Janet Keane of Lyle Printing Co., created the 50 most important reasons to love Salem. Among them are the city’s convenient location, its historic buildings downtown, rich manufacturing history and “volunteers who make things happen.”

“I Love Salem” window cling signs are available for purchase at $2 apiece as well as, also for $2, water bottles donated by Gordon Brothers Water with the “I Love Salem” logo.

Businesses can receive a copy of the “50 Reasons to Love Salem” poster by calling the chamber office at 330 337 3473.
