YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A three-part seminar series focusing on how small businesses can use social media will be held at the Ohio Small Business Development Center Export Assistance Network Aug. 18 and 25 and Sept. 15.

The meetings will take place in the Northeast Ohio room of Williamson Hall at Youngstown State University. All seminars will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The first seminar, “5 Steps to Create a Foolproof Social Media Strategy,” will cover how to define a target audience, how to reach them, how to analyze competitors’ social media and how to create a social media plan.

Second is “Take Facebook Marketing to the Next Level with Paid Advertising,” which covers what targeted advertisement options are available on the platform and how to best use them.

The series concludes Sept. 15 with “The Step-by-Step Beginner’s Guide to Creating an Epic Blog,” covering how a blog can benefit businesses, how to implement search-engine optimization, or SEO, and how to create ideas for blog posts.

Registration is required for each session. Each session costs $35, with a $5 discount for those registering for all three. For more information or to register, email ohiosbdc@ysu.edu or call 330 941 2140.
