Synergy Comp Listed on Inc. Magazine’s Top 5,000

SHARON, Pa. – Synergy Comp Insurance Co. ranks among Inc. Magazine’s top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the United States, according to the publication’s 34th annual listing released last week.

The company ranked at number 4,581 on the list, and experienced a three-year growth rate of 54%, said Eric Brown, chief financial officer. “This was the first year we applied, and we ended up making it,” he said.

Synergy Comp, established in 2006, is a workers compensation insurance carrier that has clients mostly in Pennsylvania, Brown said.

“Synergy Comp received the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies award because of our employees’ commitment to safety and excellence, which has resulted in reducing out policyholders’ workplace injury costs by 64%,” said Synergy CEO Lew Kachulis. “We also thank our loyal independent insurance agents and their policyholders for recognizing the importance of creating a safer work environment for their employees.”

Companies on the Inc. 5000’s list this year saw aggregate revenues of about $200 billion and these companies collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the last three years, or 8% of all jobs created during this period.

“The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” Eric Schurenburg, president and editor-in-chief of Inc., said in a statement. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch.”
