Things Remembered Seeks 700 for Seasonal Jobs

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio — Things Remembered will hold a job fair Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon to fill 700 seasonal positions at its fulfillment center here, 500 S. Bailey Road.

The fulfillment center, which operates three shifts around the clock, seven days per week, is hiring for part-time and full-time positions on all three shifts, the company announced. The Highland Heights-based company sells personalized gifts for distribution online and in more than 500 retail stores in the United States and Canada.

Seasonal positions allow applicants the opportunity to personalize holiday gifts with engraving and embroidery machines, or other techniques, as well as work in the call center, gift wrapping, shipping and more.

“The holidays are the busiest time of year at Things Remembered, because we specialize in personalized gifts,” said Rich Farruggia, director of human resources.

The company plans to hire employees to begin as early as this month. Seasonal employees are paid weekly, receive 40% off all Things Remembered gifts, and are eligible to partake in exclusive employees-only sales and corporate activities.

“Whether you’re looking for 40 or more hours, or something on the weekends to help with your holiday expenses, we have a lot of positions available, and the opportunity to continue working past the holiday season. A lot of our team members started as seasonal employees here or in the stores,” saids Kathryn McBride, human resources manager.

Individuals unable to attend the job fair can apply online or visit the fulfillment center Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to noon, to apply on site.
