Trumbull Memorial Hospital Appoints New President

WARREN, Ohio – Trumbull Memorial Hospital has named Ron Bierman as its president, the hospital announced Monday.

Bierman previously served as the CEO of Affinity Medical Center from 2008-2016, CEO for certain Tenet Healthcare operations from 2005-2007, and CEO for certain Health Management Associates operations from 1998-2005, according to the announcement.

“I am excited to continue the next chapter of my career in the Mahoning Valley,” Bierman said. “I look forward to working with the dedicated team at Trumbull Memorial Hospital and towards being a part of the new model of health care that is being brought to this community through our recent affiliation with Steward Health Care.”

Boston-based Steward Health Care System purchased the assets of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, which included Trumbull Memorial, from Tennessee-based Community Health Systems Inc. in May.

“Ron brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to Trumbull Memorial Hospital,” said Stanley P. Feret, Trumbull Memorial board chairman. “He has a proven track record of delivering innovative new programs to address community needs; that along with his leadership skills and achievements pertaining to quality care will allow Trumbull Memorial to build on its success.”
