Wagers Top $99 Million at Racino in July

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Wagers on video lottery terminals at Mahoning Valley Race Course in Austintown in July neared $100 million for the second time since opening.

Credits played at the Austintown racino totaled $99.14 million last month, up from $94.24 million in June and from $91.07 million in July 2016.

Since Hollywood Gaming opened in September 2015, July’s VLT wagers were surpassed only by March’s $99.95 million.

Players won $87.94 million in July, up from $83.51 million in June and from $81.22 million in July 2016.

Net win for the month was $9.79 million. Of that, Penn National Gaming Inc. received $6.47 million for operating the racino. Last month, net win was $9.48 million, and Penn National received $6.28 million.

In July 2016, net win was $8.79 million, and Penn National received $5.81 million.
