Yo Doughnut Co. Reopens Its Doors

YOUNSTOWN, Ohio – The sweet smell of freshly made doughnuts has returned to the corner of East Rayen Avenue and North Champion Street.

The Yo Doughnut Co. has reopened its doors at the same location, says Ronnie Marrow, the new co-owner.

“We were closed for a few weeks, everything’s been worked out and we’re back in running order,” he says. “Everything’s the same. We’re still making great doughnuts from scratch.”

The gourmet doughnut shop closed abruptly in early March, citing an “increase in operating expenses at this current location.” (READ STORY)

Those issues are now resolved, Marrow says, and the shop intends to remain at the site. “This location is still great and this is where we’re staying,” he says.

Marrow and Royce Robinson, an original partner in the business, now own the doughnut shop. Marrow expects to host a grand opening event in “a few weeks,” he says.
