Youngstown Foundation Awards $43,955 to Help Hotline

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc. has been awarded a one-year grant of $43,955 from the Hine Memorial Fund of the Youngstown Foundation to help support its Special Navigator for Special Needs Families project.

Help Hotline provides 24/7 crisis intervention, referrals, support services and counseling services to persons experiencing mental health related and/or situational problems in the Mahoning Valley.

The Special Navigator project creates a central referral source for parents and caregivers of children with special needs and provides personal contact. It is based on the 2009 Parent/Caregiver survey completed by the Hine Fund and is overseen by Pamela Petras, a parent and family specialist.
