BOARDMAN, Ohio – Pittsburgh-based #1 Cochran is relocating its Cadillac dealership from Columbiana to Boardman – the first of several network enhancements to be announced in the coming months, the company announced Thursday.

The company said it will also consolidate its Columbiana Chevrolet sales and service operations with its current Chevrolet dealership along Market Street.

The move, made in collaboration with General Motors, will take effect Oct. 2, the dealership said.

Cochran’s Columbiana Cadillac franchise will relocate to the company’s Buick-GMC campus at 7997 Market St. Cadillac will temporarily reside within the Buick-GMC showroom while construction begins on an exclusive, standalone store on the same property.

The new Cadillac facility is expected to open within 18 to 24 months, a news release states.

At the same time, the Columbiana Chevrolet operations will shift to #1 Cochran’s Chevrolet dealership, located at 8010 Market St., the company said.

“This realignment allows us to focus our resources where we can have the greatest impact for our customers,” said Rob Cochran, #1 Cochran chairman and CEO. “By bringing our operations closer together, we’re creating a more seamless, convenient experience – making it easier than ever for customers to shop, service and keep life moving.”

Once the transition is complete, #1 Cochran’s four GM brands will be located near each other on Market Street – with its Boardman Ford, Nissan and Honda stores just minutes away. The company also operates a Mercedes-Benz dealership and second Ford store in Austintown, along with a Body by Cochran Collision Center in Columbiana.

Since entering the Youngstown market in January 2023, #1 Cochran has scaled its operations to build a network of dealerships, services and solutions to create value for customers, the company said. The company has also immersed itself in the community, supporting local organizations, events and educational initiatives that reflect its long-term commitment to the region.

Looking ahead, #1 Cochran plans to build on its momentum in the Mahoning Valley through continued investment and innovation. Its modern retail model combines the ease of online car buying with personalized support and a new loyalty program recently launched to reward repeat business and deepen customer relationships.
