COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corp. will receive $270,000 in grants for the rehabilitation of nine homes.
The funding is part of $1.4 million in grants and tax credits announced Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Development to help support housing efforts in six counties in the state through the fourth round of the Welcome Home Ohio program.
The program administered a total of $100 million in grants for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 to help landbanks purchase, rehabilitate or build qualifying residential properties for income-eligible Ohioans.
“When it comes to building on our incredible economic momentum and attracting the very best talent to our state, quality of life matters. And that starts with housing,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Department of Development. “By creating more housing opportunities in our communities, we’re making Ohio the premier destination for people who are looking for a place where they can thrive both professionally and personally.”
