YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Youngstown Tattoo Classic will return for its fifth year June 6-8 at the Metroplex Expo Center, with this year’s event centered around a military theme. Hope Sweany, owner and promoter of the event, dubs it Operation Give Back, with a focus on honoring service members and supporting veteran organizations.

The event runs from noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. More than 80 tattoo artists and 20 vendors participate this year, with proceeds benefiting Moab House, Veterans’ Outreach Center, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and Youngstown Blue Coats. Military members receive 50% off admission with ID.

Highlights include daily tattoo competitions, a new patriotic category judged by military recruiters, a Saturday pin-up contest, food trucks, and psychic gallery readings by Kathleen Moore.Tickets are available at the door, cash only. Full event information is at YtownTattooClassic.com.
