WARREN, Ohio – 717 Credit Union is partnering with the United Way of Trumbull County to benefit the organization’s early literacy program.

The program currently supports nearly 6,000 pre-kindergarten children in Trumbull County and has graduated over 5,000 more, a news release states.

“The program inspires a love of reading and a foundation for learning, and as part of United Way’s United 4 Kids initiative, it helps prepare children for success in school and beyond,” said Christine Cope, CEO of the United Way of Trumbull County. “When we invest in early literacy, we empower a lifetime of possibility.”

The details of the partnership will be announced March 31 during a special reading to a pre-K class at McGuffey PK-8 School in Warren.

“The work and dedication of the United Way of Trumbull County is in strong alignment with the short and long-term goals of the Warren City School District’s high-performing preschool program, providing 350 3- and 4-year-old children in the city of Warren with a strong early literacy foundation,” said Steve Chiaro, Warren City Schools superintendent and CEO.
