YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Akron RubberDucks and 717 Credit Union have entered into a naming-rights agreement to rename Canal Park as 717 Credit Union Park. The deal, pending approval from Akron City Council and Major League Baseball, is part of the credit union’s broader expansion into Summit County and beyond.

Plus, the first Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival will be held Oct. 4 at the Warren Community Amphitheatre, headlined by blues artist Shemekia Copeland. The event, presented by 717 Credit Union, will feature a full day of live music, food vendors and beverage options.

And the city of Youngstown has officially taken ownership of the former Chill Can site, ending a yearslong legal dispute.
