SALEM, Ohio – Community members, business leaders, elected officials and local partners are invited to attend a Celebration of Partnership, Progress & Prosperity at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Broadway Exchange, 165 S. Broadway Avenue in Salem.

The event will celebrate a successful downtown revitalization project that transformed a vacant property into a vibrant new business destination, a news release states. The project was made possible through a collaborative effort involving the Columbiana County commissioners, Columbiana County Port Authority, Sustainable Opportunity Development Center, Teldar Real Estate, Broadway Exchange and community stakeholders.

The celebration will recognize the county’s first grant-funded downtown revitalization project of its kind, honor the private investment and property improvements that made the transformation possible and welcome Broadway Exchange to the city’s historic downtown.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting will mark the grand opening and celebrate the impact of partnership, reinvestment and economic growth within the community. Attendees will also have opportunities to connect with project partners, community leaders and supporters.

“This project demonstrates what can be accomplished when public organizations, property owners, entrepreneurs and community partners work toward a shared vision,” the release states. “It serves as a model for future revitalization efforts and continued investment throughout Salem’s downtown district.”
