YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Akiva Academy held a groundbreaking ceremony at the former Allen’s PharmaServe building on Gypsy Lane across the street from the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown.
The building will be renovated, and an addition will be built onto the back of it to become the new middle school. It’s expected to be ready for students in January.
The expansion is projected to double the school’s enrollment over five years.
