Alexander Concrete Coatings of Youngstown faced rising material costs, workforce shortages and unpredictable weather in 2025.
The company overcame these challenges by focusing on the things that it could control. It supported its staff, maintained communications with customers, and made sure neither felt the impact of what was happening behind the scenes.
“Along the way, there were moments that reminded us why we love what we do,” says Lisa Cardona, co-owner. “The abundance of customer referrals was overwhelming and heartwarming at the same time. Seeing repeat business come in throughout the year was also a powerful reminder that trust is built one job, one conversation, and one relationship at a time.”
Looking ahead, the company plans to work harder and smarter.
“That may look like improving processes, investing in better tools, or creating more opportunities for our team to grow,” Cardona says.
