GREENVILLE, Pa. – Anderson Coach & Travel will give community members the opportunity to find out what it’s like to drive a school bus during two free events.
The company, which is currently seeking drivers for daily routes serving the Greenville, Reynolds and Jamestown school districts, will host test drive events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Aug. 6 at its 1 Anderson Plaza location.
The events are designed for anyone interested in learning more about driving a school bus, whether they are considering a career change, looking for flexible daytime employment or just curious about what it’s like to operate a school bus.
“We know many people have wondered what it’s like to sit in the driver’s seat of a school bus,” said Danielle Powell, marketing project manager at Anderson Coach & Travel. “This event gives them a chance to experience it firsthand in a relaxed, no-pressure environment while learning about the rewarding opportunities available as a school bus driver.”
Participants will have the opportunity to drive a school bus on Anderson Coach & Travel’s private lot alongside experienced staff members who will answer questions and provide guidance throughout the experience. No commercial driver’s license is required to participate, and no appointment is necessary. Community members are encouraged to stop by anytime during the event hours.
