Michael Muder
Youngstown Radio Reading Service Manager, Goodwill Industries
Since 1995, Michael Muder has made an impact by helping the visually impaired in Mahoning County and beyond.
The goal of the Youngstown Radio Reading Service, which he manages, is to provide valuable support and connect individuals with resources to enhance their quality of life. He makes sure the visually impaired are always up to date with current news. Without Michael, the YRRS would not be where it is today.
Leadership is in Mike’s character. He oversees more than 60 volunteers and a staff of five blind employees. He also runs the monthly VIP Meeting, which is a support community for visually impaired people.
Mike is involved with the Boardman and Canfield Lions Clubs as well as other organizations. When there is a contribution he can make to the community, he will not hesitate to jump on the opportunity.
When Michael decides his days are over with Goodwill, he will leave behind Shaquille O’Neal-sized shoes. What he has done for the visually impaired in the community cannot be understated or said enough. He is the main reason YRRS continues to thrive.
