YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – An assisted living complex at 2300 Canfield Road has sold for $4.8 million, according to records with the Mahoning County Auditor’s office.
Auditor’s office data shows the building and land were sold Sept. 15 to 2300 Canfield LLC, which lists a New York address for tax purposes. The assisted living facility currently houses The Addison of Cornersburg, part of Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle Corp.
The property was earlier subject to a foreclosure action initiated by primary lender Fannie Mae in 2023 against the facility’s previous owner, Youngstown BG Propco LLC. In March 2024, a Mahoning County Common Pleas Court granted Fannie Mae a judgment in mortgage of $143.4 million.
In June of this year, the court approved a sheriff’s sale in which Fannie Mae was awarded possession of the property in partial satisfaction to the outstanding balance on the mortgage, according to court records. Fannie Mae then sold the land and buildings to 2300 Canfield LLC. The auditor’s office appraised the property at $2.26 million.
Senior Lifestyle Corp. was established in 1985 in Chicago and has since expanded to more than 80 locations in more than 20 states, according to its website.
