AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – A building along Mahoning Avenue that once housed several well-known restaurants has sold for $550,000.

According to records filed with the Mahoning County Auditor’s office, the building and land at 4496 Mahoning Ave. was sold Oct. 23 to RAA Ventures LLC of Canfield from TJL Real Estate Holdings.

RAA Ventures lists Rocky A. Angiuli as its agent of record, according to articles of organization filed with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office.

Last year, TJL purchased the building and relocated Prima Cucina Ristorante from downtown Youngstown to that location. The restaurant’s owners invested in remodeling the space, including adding a rooftop patio above the ground floor.

However, plans to develop the restaurant for the Austintown market never materialized, and a decision was made to close the new location in July.

The building once housed the Upstairs, a popular dining establishment in the Mahoning Valley.  Other tenants in the building include Send It Packin, a shipping outlet for FedEx and UPS.
