CANFIELD, Ohio – The Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio has appointed Suzanne Barbati to its governing board.
Barbati’s background in nonprofit leadership and community engagement makes her a valuable addition to the governing board, a news release from the ESC of Eastern Ohio states.
Barbati previously served as director of planned giving and president and executive director for Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology.
Barbati, who received a bachelor’s degree in conflict studies and education from Youngstown State University, also has experience in consulting and small business ownership, working with organizations on fundraising, grant writing and organizational development.
“We are thrilled to welcome Suzanne Barbati to our governing board,” said Jeffery Good, president of the governing board. “Her extensive background in leadership, education, and community engagement adds diversity to the background of the ESC board as well as aligns perfectly with our mission to support schools and empower students across the ESC’s service region.”
