Beatitude House Awards Trio of $1K Scholarships

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Beatitude House’s Ursuline Sisters Scholars program has awarded three $1,000 scholarships to students.

Receiving the scholarships are Tymira Stenson, studying social work at Ursuline College, Ashlee Macormac studying occupational therapy assistant technology at Kent State University Ashtabula and Nasheema Wade-Kennedy, who recently graduated as a licensed practical nurse and will pursue an associate’s in nursing at Eastern Gateway Community College next spring.

The scholarships were supported by the Beeghly Fund for Scholars, the Boardman Rotary Fund for Scholars and the Kennedy Fund for Scholars. 

The Ursuline Sisters Scholars program at Beatitude House serves 39 students. It provides financial support, one-on-one mentorship and monthly life skills workshops, as well as assistance for food, clothing and transportation.
