CANFIELD, Ohio – Four veteran country and rock acts will perform at this year’s Canfield Fair.
Country music duo Big & Rich, with opening act Diamond Rio, and rocker Bret Michaels, with Donnie Iris, will headline this year’s grandstand concerts. Big & Rich will take the stage the evening of Sunday, Sept. 6. Michaels will close the fair with his performance Monday, Sept. 7.
Big & Rich are best known for their hits “Save a Horse [Ride a Cowboy],” “Fake ID,” “Run Away with You” and “Comin’ to Your City.”
Michaels, who hails from Butler, Pa., became famous worldwide as the frontman for glam-metal band Poison, which released hits like “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Nothing But A Good Time” in the late 1980s.
Michaels also hosted the VH1 television shows “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels,” “Life As I know It” and the Travel Channel’s “Bret Michaels’ Rock My RV.” He also appeared on Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”
The Pittsburgh-based Iris is a longtime favorite in the Youngstown area who is known for his songs “Love Is Like a Rock,” “Ah, Leah!,” “Tough World” and “That’s the Way Love Ought to Be.”
Presale tickets for both concerts will go on sale only at Ticketmaster.com from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 23. Use the password “rooster.”

The general ticket sale for both shows will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, April 24, only at Ticketmaster.com.
No tickets will be sold at the Canfield Fair box office until later this summer.
Tickets for Big & Rich range from $39 to $125 (plus applicable fees), and tickets for Michaels range from $25 to $99 (plus applicable fees).
Tickets for all other grandstand attractions, including the demolition derby and the truck and tractor pull, will go on sale later this summer. Go to CanfieldFair.com for up-to-date ticket and event information.
