SHARON, Pa. – Mercer County Food Bank’s Bingo Lingo event last week raised enough funds to provide 24,000 meals to those in need, and one donation wasn’t on the card.

At Friday’s event at St. Bartholomew Church in Sharpsville, Pa., Mark Bazely of West Middlesex achieved the coveted cover all, winning the event’s grand prize – a Supermarket Sweep donated by Al D’Onofrio of D’Onofrio’s Food Center in Hermitage. Bazely dashed through the aisles Wednesday morning to collect his winnings. And when he was done, he donated the groceries back to the food bank.

“Mark’s generosity, combined with Al D’Onofrio’s unwavering support, truly reflects the spirit of our community,” said Rebecca Page, executive director of the Mercer County Food Bank. “Their selfless gifts turn moments of fun into a lasting impact for families in need.”
