Rep. Monica Robb-Blasdel

COLUMBUS, Ohio – State Rep. Monica Robb-Blasdel of Columbiana, R-79th, was recently appointed by Speaker of the Ohio House Matt Huffman to serve on the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board.

The board is made up of 29 members, including 19 individuals selected by regional groups that partner with the foundation in identifying organizations to receive funds.

“It is a great honor to be appointed to the governing board of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation, and I am grateful to Speaker Huffman for this responsibility,” Blasdel said. “The opioid epidemic has scarred Ohio’s communities for decades, and I am eager to get to work, ensuring community-based organizations have the necessary resources to combat this crisis through prevention, treatment and recovery efforts.”

The OneOhio Recovery Foundation is a nonprofit organization created at the direction of the state of Ohio and local leaders to distribute 55 percent of the funds the state will receive from the pharmaceutical industry as a consequence of its role in the national opioid epidemic. The foundation works with local interests to support substance misuse prevention, treatment and recovery efforts and invest funds to support these efforts.
