WARREN, Ohio – A Northeast Ohio company is showcasing new ballistic shield technology designed to absorb high-impact force while minimizing injury to the user. Thomas Milo, CEO of TKM Ballistics, says the shields can withstand high-powered rifle rounds without causing bruising or soft tissue damage.
The company, based in Cuyahoga Falls, is among nine selected for a 12-month materials science accelerator at Bounce Innovation Hub in Akron. The state-funded program supports polymer and advanced materials startups with funding, training and professional services, while aiming to grow innovation across the region.
