WARREN, Ohio – The Trumbull Career & Technical Center chapter of Business Professionals of America’s Chains of Love fundraiser brought in more than $1,000 to benefit Special Olympics Ohio.
The fundraiser, held from Feb. 3-28, engaged students and staff across multiple programs in a friendly competition. Participants purchased paper chain links, with the goal of building the longest chain and raising the most funds. The Electrical Technology program finished in first place, followed by the Equestrian Studies program.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to Special Olympics Ohio to help provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
“Our BPA members are incredibly proud to support an organization like the Special Olympics,” said Tyler Zinsmeister of Howland High School, TCTC BPA chapter president. “Not only does this fundraiser benefit a wonderful cause, but it also promotes collaboration and school spirit within our career tech community.”
