‘Brain Gain Resources’ Publishes Directory for Companies, Job Seekers, Students
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Business owners, hiring managers, entrepreneurs, job seekers and students have a new source for useful information with Brain Gain Resources.
As part of The Business Journal’s Brain Gain 2022 program, we have organized a collection of education, workforce development and entrepreneurship resources in a single location. All resources are viewable without an online subscription.
The resources are categorized based on need, whether a user is looking to explore colleges and universities in the area, or would rather see what local career and tech schools have to offer. A section for job seekers provides a list of resources for exploring current openings. And a section for labor unions and apprenticeship programs directs recent high school graduates and adults to opportunities for careers in the skilled trades.
“Over the last few years, we’ve had the good fortune to meet and work with many of the organizations and resources listed on Brain Gain Resources,” says Andrea Wood, publisher of The Business Journal. “The number one challenge facing nearly all companies is hiring and retaining skilled employees. That’s why we compiles these resources. We’ve arranged everything in a manner that aids individuals at every level of the job-seeking journey.”
For startups, long-standing businesses and professionals, Brain Gain Resources provides lists of resources for workforce development, entrepreneur assistance and economic development. That includes the Farmers Financial Focus – a video series exclusive to The Business Journal and Brain Gain 2022.
Over the course of this year, the financial experts at Farmers National Bank will offer insights and advice on how to finance a business, developing healthy financial habits, writing a business plan and obtaining credit to support company operations.
Each posted resource provides a short explanation of what the organization offers and contact information. Links for key contacts and programs or services are posted with each listing for a simpler, more efficient user experience.
For organizations that aren’t listed but have programs or services that fit one or many of the audiences listed in Brain Gain Resources, they can submit their information by clicking HERE and filling out the form.
If your organization has multiple services and/or departments that could serve more than one Brain Gain Resources category – for instance, if you offer services for job seekers as well as workforce development agencies – please submit one completed form for each category.
