WARREN, Ohio – Brite Energy Innovators has announced it will host the 2026 Energy Innovation Summit: Grid to Growth in Columbus on Sept. 10.
The forum will center on Ohio’s energy capacity and role in supporting the country’s rapidly growing artificial intelligence infrastructure. The half-day program will bring together local, state and national leaders to discuss what drives them, what excites them and what concerns them about the energy future in the age of AI.
The featured speakers for the event include:
- Alex Fitzsimmons, deputy secretary of energy and senior advisor to the secretary, U.S. Department of Energy.
- Marc Reitter, president and chief operating officer, AEP Ohio.
- Andrew Burchwell, founder and executive director, Ohio Blockchain Council.

“As energy demand rises and data centers expand, questions around grid capacity, affordability, reliability, and sustainability are becoming increasingly urgent,” Brite said in its announcement. “At the same time, Ohio has a unique opportunity to capture the economic benefits of AI infrastructure growth.”
