YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Broadway Stars Clubhouse, a division of Broadway Recovery Services, will host Mental Health Awareness Day at the Broadway Community Campus, 430 Williamson Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
The event, in observance of World Mental Health Day, will feature games, a DJ, a grab-and-go meal and small giveaways. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet the Broadway staff.
Founded in 2018 by Adam Lonardo and Jason Kmentt, Broadway Recovery Services offers safe and structured recovery homes in Youngstown and Salem, Ohio, to provide hope and healing for individuals battling drug and alcohol substance use disorder.
Broadway Stars Clubhouse’s mission is to offer friendship, employment, medical and psychiatric services, education and housing for those facing mental health challenges. Members and staff collaborate through a work-ordered day system, which is tailored to each member’s individual needs.
“It’s all about connection and meeting people where they are at,” said Laura Lonardo, director of Broadway Stars Clubhouse and assistant director of Broadway Recovery Services.
