SHARON, Pa. – The Buhl Regional Health Foundation will offer a four-week grant workshop series, taught by Jennifer Barborak of UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation, beginning on April 9.
The series will focus on the basics of grant writing and specifics to the Buhl Regional Health Foundation application process for nonprofit organizations who plan to apply for funding to address community health and well-being in the greater Sharon region within the next 12 months.
This series will include an overview of the grant process for those applying for funds from foundations, not federal or state grants. Topics covered will include “Grant Seeking and Identifying Priorities,” “Pieces of the Grant,” “Putting it All Together,” and “After the Proposal.”
The sessions will be held on Tuesdays, April 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buhl Regional Health Foundation office, 701 Pierce Ave. There is no cost to attend.
The workshop is limited to 15 people and will be determined on a first come-first serve basis. No more than two people per agency may participate.
