YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Butler Institute of American Art has canceled this year’s American Holiday Arts & Crafts Show and Sale.
The museum announced the decision Friday in a Facebook post. No reason was given for the move.
“This decision was not made lightly, and we understand how meaningful this event is to so many,” the post reads.
The museum is evaluating the future of the American Holiday show and sale and is inviting the public to share their opinion by taking a survey. Click HERE.
“Your feedback will help guide our planning and ensure we continue to serve our community in the best way possible,” the post reads.
The American Holiday show and sale has taken place annually for more than 50 years. Taking place over a weekend in early December, it offered a festive shopping experience and a place to find unique and high quality artisan gifts and fine arts, sold by approximately 100 artists and makers.
The museum did not respond to a request to comment on the decision.
