NILES, Ohio – Cadence Care Network expanded services, increased staff and secured vital funding to support youths and families across northern Ohio in 2024, its CEO says.
“Our growth in 2024 is a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust our community has placed in us,” says Matt Kresic. “We are committed to meeting the needs of youth and families by expanding our reach and enhancing the quality of services we provide.”
Cadence Care Network, formerly Homes for Kids/Child and Family Solutions, is a nonprofit agency focusing on the behavioral and emotional well-being of children and teens, as well as the treatment and placement of youths in compassionate and qualified foster care homes.
In 2025, Cadence plans to expand pharmacological management services to enhance mental health treatment and increase its wraparound to ensure families receive comprehensive support.
“2024 was a year of remarkable progress and we are carrying that momentum into 2025,” Kresic says.
In 2024, Cadence secured a $550,000 grant, adding 12 staff members across six counties and a $250,000 grant to expand school-based mental health services. Its care management program now serves about 1,000 youths daily.
Cadence supports foster youths transitioning to independence and last year opened a new office in Ashtabula. Cadence Coffeehouse and Creperie remains a hub for workforce development and life skills training at its site in downtown Niles, Kresic says.
A highlight of 2024 was Cadence being chosen by DeSalvo Construction as the recipient of its Giving Tuesday Campaign, which raised over $50,000 to support programs and services.
