NILES, Ohio – Cadence Care Network recently received a grant of nearly $248,000 to support its efforts in fighting addiction by delivering in-school behavioral services in Warren.
The grant from the OneOhio Recovery Foundation will go toward expanding the agency’s services by hiring additional staff members.
“We are grateful to the OneOhio Foundation for believing in our mission and values,” said Matt Kresic, CEO of Cadence Care Network. “Funding will allow us to expand the work Project AWARE has already implemented in the Warren City School District, while continuing our partnerships with Compass Family Services and the Urban Minority Alcoholism Drug Abuse Outreach Program.”
The grant is part of an inaugural round of approximately $51 million in funding made available by the foundation as part of its mission to combat the opioid epidemic by supporting prevention, treatment and recovery programs and services. The grant money was funded by 55 percent of settlement funds the state is receiving from the pharmaceutical industry because of its role in the national opioid epidemic.
